Inasmuch Welcomes New Director

The Inasmuch ministry is excited to announce that Shawn Snyder is the new Executive Director as of this month. Native to Knoxville, Shawn comes to Inasmuch from the non-profit Shangrila Therapeutic Academy of Riding (STAR) in the Knoxville area where he was the Director of Development for 8 years. Under his leadership STAR grew substantially financially including becoming debt-free and doubling their ongoing funding support.
Shawn was among 60 people who applied for the Executive Director position at Inasmuch. In a called meeting in January, the Board of Directors unanimously and enthusiastically approved the Search Team’s recommendation that he be hired. Chair of the Board of Directors, Rev. Bryan Wilson says: “Humility, compassion, and leadership leak from the life of Shawn Snyder. The Board is thankful God has led him to be our Executive Director for such a time as this. Truly, the Holy Spirit is leading Shawn and us into a new chapter of the Inasmuch ministry.”
“Shawn Snyder rose above the other applicants in his personal warmth and character,” says David Crocker, Founder of Inasmuch. “His humility and genuine enthusiasm concerning the opportunity to work in the Inasmuch ministry were obvious. He is one of those people others instantly like. We are confident everyone in the Inasmuch constituency will love Shawn immediately,” says Crocker.
Shawn and his family—wife, Amanda, son, Aiden, and daughter, Brenley—are active members in Sevier Heights Baptist Church, Knoxville. Aiden is a junior at the University of Tennessee and Brenley is a freshman at South Doyle High School, Knoxville.
Snyder says of his new position: “I am honored to be the new Executive Director with Operation Inasmuch. I am excited to see where God takes our ministry and expands our reach in the coming years.”
David Crocker will remain at Inasmuch for a short time to help get Shawn up to speed with Inasmuch. Otherwise, he is looking forward to going back into retirement! Can you hear the cheer from his grandchildren?!
