A Year of Faith in Action

As we look back on this past year at Mobilizing Knoxville, our hearts are full of gratitude for God’s provision, for faithful partners, and for volunteers who showed up again and again to love their neighbors in practical, life-changing ways. What began as a vision to restore dignity and mobility through reliable transportation has continued to grow into a powerful testimony of what the Church can do together.

Restoring Hope, One Vehicle at a Time

This year, Mobilizing Knoxville donated 8 vehicles to individuals and families in need, each one representing more than transportation. These vehicles represent access to work, medical care, school, and stability. They are tangible reminders that when God’s people come together, burdens are lifted and lives are changed.

To make these donations possible, our volunteers and partners worked tirelessly to ensure safety and reliability. Through 12 volunteer workdays, we repaired 23 vehicles, investing 316 volunteer hours into this mission. According to standard valuations, that time represents nearly $11,000 worth of volunteer labor… freely given, joyfully offered, and motivated by love.

Faithful Stewards of Every Resource

Because of generous shop partners and skilled volunteers, Mobilizing Knoxville continues to be a model of wise stewardship. This year:

• $4,986 was spent on repair expenses, with parts provided at cost thanks to our shop partners
• No labor costs were incurred… every hour was donated
• $4,491 was invested in repairs for donated vehicles, ensuring recipients received dependable transportation

This incredible efficiency allows every dollar given to go further and serve more people.

Partners Who Make the Mission Possible

Mobilizing Knoxville does not stand alone. We are deeply thankful for the community God has assembled around this work:

• Volunteers from 7 churches who served with humility and unity
• 9 partner agencies who faithfully provide referrals and walk alongside clients with care and discernment
• Two exceptional shop partners – Tom’s Auto Clinic and Thomas Tuning and Service – who generously share their space, tools, and expertise, transforming their shops into places of ministry

Their willingness to open doors, lift hoods, and invest knowledge has made an eternal impact far beyond the garage.

Rooted in a Greater Mission

Mobilizing Knoxville is proud to serve as a local expression of Operation Inasmuch, our parent organization. Guided by Operation Inasmuch’s mission to mobilize the Church to love and serve those in need, we strive to reflect Christ through compassionate service, collaboration, and excellence. Together, we are living out the call of Matthew 25, meeting practical needs while pointing to the greater hope found in Jesus.

Looking Ahead With Gratitude and Expectation

As we celebrate what God has done this year, we also look ahead with expectation. The need remains great, but so is the faithfulness of God and His people. Thank you to every volunteer, donor, partner agency, church, and shop partner who made this year possible. You are not just repairing cars, you are restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity.
